A Bit About Me (pun intended)
I am a Sound Designer, Audio Engineer, and Filmmaker soaking up everything I can about film audio, recording and post. Though a Syracuse native, I've built a temporary home base at the University of Rochester. Upon graduation, I'll be continuing my work with Sound Rebels, LLC in sound editorial (LA).
I've been fortunate to collaborate with amazing animators, filmmakers, and composers from the University of Rochester, RIT School of Film and Animation, Eastman School of Music, and Nazareth College. From dark, ambient designs and magical underwater soundscapes to an auditorium full of happy babies and quirky comedies in the woods, I love creating dynamic worlds that can transport, immerse and entertain. No matter the environment, I'm always game for new ideas, new styles, and especially new sounds.
August 2021 - present
This summer, I took a dive into Hollywood as the Post-Production Sound Intern at Sound Rebels, LLC! I worked primarily in sound editorial and design for 4 animated television series and 2 animated features, while helping out with a handful of other exciting projects.
Sound Rebels is an audio post studio specializing in sound design, editing and mixing for animation, working with clients at Nickelodeon, Netflix, Dreamworks, and Warner Bros.
I am a Teaching Assistant for Professor and two-time NY Emmy Award Winner, Rob LaVaque. The courses I support are centered around sound design & composition; course content includes Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Wwise, hard/software synths, MIDI history, basic field recording, sound editing, mixing and more.
I interned at Girls Rock! Rochester as the Audio Technician and Videographer. I independently completed pre-pro, production, and video/audio post for The Mixtape Showcase (58m). I was responsible for shooting and editing music videos, interviews, and camp recaps, designing graphics, recording live performances and mixing demos for each band. I also made this stop motion promo for the 10k for 10 years fundraiser.
